Mishima: Inlay Workshop LV1 - March 28th

$75.00

Saturday March 28th, 2026 | 12-3 pm

Instructor: TBA

Mishima is a traditional ceramic technique that involves inlaying slip, underglaze, or contrasting clay into carved lines to create crisp, decorative designs on the surface of a piece.

This workshop focuses on elevating your surface design skills. Through instructor demonstrations, you’ll learn methods for carving into leather-hard clay, applying and inlaying color, and layering multiple tones using wax resist. All participants will work on pre-made tiles, allowing you to concentrate solely on the Mishima process without the need to form your own pieces.

This session is well-suited for both those with existing ceramics experience and anyone interested in exploring a new technique. You’ll leave with a customized tile and a deeper understanding of inlay decoration.
