Monthly Critique Sessions

Hosted in partnership with Chicago Critique Group, our open, in-person monthly critique sessions offer local artists a supportive space to receive thoughtful feedback, build community, and deepen their practice. Whether you're a student, emerging artist, or established professional, these gatherings bring together artists at all levels to share works-in-progress, engage in respectful critique, and gain fresh perspectives.

Each session features two presenting artists whose recent work is discussed by peers and facilitators. Sessions are free and open to the public—no registration required.

Join us each month to refine your work, learn from others, and contribute to a vibrant creative community.

Visiting Artist Demos

Our Visiting Artist Demonstrations are public events where artists share their practice, processes, and techniques here at the Digs. These sessions offer a chance to learn directly from working artists—watch them demonstrate their methods, hear about their approach, and ask questions.

Free and open to all, demos are designed to spark curiosity, encourage dialogue, and create space for connection between artists and community members. Whether you're an artist yourself or simply interested in how things are made, you're invited to drop in, meet people, and see creative work in action.
